Observed a 7 month old infant with children who are 4 years old. This was corrected when a caregiver came and they seperated the classes.

One caregiver stated that they had 8 children in the classroom. As the kids were counted by the licensing Rep, there were 9 children in care. The caregiver stated that one child had just arrived. There was a child in another classroom alone that also belonged to this classroom which would have made the caregiver have 10 kids total.

Observed one child sitting in a classroom by themselves. There was no caregiver in the classroom. I spoke to a caregiver asking them where the child belonged, and the caregiver took the child back to their classroom. The caregiver was unaware that the child was missing from the classroom.
There was no annual training received regarding the following requred topics: administering medication, preventing and responding to a food or an allergic reaction, nor handling, disposing, and storing of hazardous materials.
After a review of employee files, there was no annual training regarding SIDS, Shaken Baby, nor Early Brain Development for director.
Two caregivers did not have training regarding SIDS, Shaken Baby, and Early Brain Development. The caregivers were providing care for children younger than 24 months old.
It was determined a pair of scissors was left on a shelf accessible to children in care.
It was determined during the incident the caregiver was not properly supervising the group of children when the incident occured. The caregiver was preforming other duties that did not allow proper supervision.
Observed no caregiver in the school age classroom with the children. I spoke to the infant caregiver and was told that she was watching both classrooms.
Observed the infant room to have 5 infants ages 2 months to 12 months old, with the specified age of 7 months old. This was corrected when the oldest infant was placed into the toddler room.
Observed a 5 month old sleeping with a blanket. I spoke to the caregiver about the dangers of the blanket in the crib with the infant and the blanket was removed.
