During a DFPS investigation it was found children in care were placed in time out for 10-20 minutes, which is 6-16 minutes longer than appropriate for the age group.
Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, a caregiver would provide time-out as a method of discipline for a four-year-old for a time of around 10 minutes.
