I observed children under two watching television upon arrival for unannounced monitoring inspection. Inspector informed the caregiver that children under two do not have screen time. Caregiver turned the television off.

I observed children with personal iPhones and an iPad during the inspection.Inspector explained to the caregiver that the children should have an activity that does not consistently involve electronics. Caregiver collected the devices.

The providers training records were not avaliable for review during inspection.

The operation does not have liability insurance and has not notified parents.

The admissions forms used were outdated. The admission forms do not capture the required minimum standards changes of March 2023.

Provider has not submitted form 2962 or lack of liability insurance through provider portal.

I observed a high chair being used without safety straps and it is designed to have the straps.Inspector informed caregiver the children can not use high chairs with out the safety straps if the high chair comes with the straps. Caregiver removed the child from the highchair.

The operation has a 2A fire extinguisher.

The provider stated the updated operational policies are not available for review.

The fire extinguisher was sitting on the top of a cabinet. It was not mounted as required.

There is no documentation in the emergency prepardness plan that states how children will be evacuated under the age of 24 months.

There is no documentation that CPR/First aid was completed by Ms. Daphne Herbert.

Four children's records were reviewed. One record does not contain an updated immunization record.

The operation did not have the required emergency preparedness plan available.

One caregiver was allowed to have direct access to the children in care after receiving an ineligible letter.

The primary caregiver was lacking current training in Pediatric First Aid and CPR. The recent First Aid and cpr expired 7/24/2020.

Two out of four files were missing the required emergency conctact address.

Four out of four files were missing the required physicians contact information and address.

The primary caregiver was lacking the required 29 hours of training.

The operation did not have an up to date sign-in and sign-out log.

In the back playroom, which is used for child care, there are two exits. However, one exit is blocked by two chairs and a highchairt. NOTE: This was corrected at the time of the inspection when the chair was moved.
