This standard was evaluated regarding an investigation, and a violation was found. The victim was not identified by the driver for entering the vehicle or getting off the vehicle based on the driver's student list of names being transported to the operation from the elementary campus.

The operation has a food allergy list with fourteen children's names listed as allergies. The operation was not able to provide documentation of the FARE or doctor notice regarding the food allergies.
The operation has three bus drivers without transportation training hours and two directors without transportation training hours.
The operation has two transportation vehicles that need repairs to their seatbelt. The first vehicle was missing the safety latch for the seat belt to go into for safety. The second vehicle did not have the safety latch to place the seat belt inside once a child was in the seat.
The fire extinguisher on the transportation vehicles was not working properly. One fire extinguisher stated it was empty and needed to be recharged.
The infant classroom had six infants with one caregiver. The children's ages were 10 months, 13 months, 15 months, (2) 23 months, and 21 months. The specific age is 15 months. The operation placed another caregiver in the classroom to make the class in ratio during the monitor visit.
The standard was evaluated as it relates to the allegation. As a result of the DFPS investigation, it was determined that a caregiver took inappropriate pictures of a child. Therefore, the abuse and neglect standard is found deficient.
