During a DFPS investigation, it was found that infants had been left unsupervised while caregiver was outside with a group of school-age children.

During the course of the DFPS investigation, it was determined that the infant caregiver was in charge of infants and afterschool children with one of the youngest school age children being at least 6 years old with the infants at least 17 months of age.
Based on the information gained during the investigation, the caregiver's actions do rise to the level of abuse as defined by the Texas Family Code since the child was observed with marks and bruises due to inappropriate restraint.
Based on the DFPS investigation it was determined that the none of the staff understood who was in charge of the center while the director was out of the building.
