The operation did not have an up to date fire inspection. The most recent fire inspection was completed on 9/13/2023.
I evaluated 10 childrens records and the following was observed: - One child did not have an emergency care authorization - One child did not have a phone number or address for the emergency contact. - One child did not have record of immunizations - One child did not have an up to date record of immunizations
During the inspection I observed 12 children to be present in the infant room. Based on the specified age group, the room exceeded the maximum group size of 10. NOTE: During the insepction, two children were moved to another classroom to maintain ratio.
One caregiver with a pending background check was observed to be present in the classroom and caring for children. NOTE: This was corrected at inspection when the caregiver left the operation.
In the toddler class, cough medicine was found in an accessible small storage bin drawer. The cough medicine was in the 3rd drawer from the bottom which is reachable for the toddler children. This was corrected when the director removed the medicine from the drawer and placing it in the office.
During the walkthrough one toddler room did not have the fire exit diagram posted. Note: This was corrected at iinspection when it was posted.
Three infants were observed sleeping in the crib with blankets, bottles and bibs. 5 month old had a bib on and bottle inside the crib. 10 month old had a blanket inside the crib 10 month old had a bottle inside the crib.
One infant was observed sleeping in the crib with pacifier cord attached.
One toddler classroom did not have the nap chart showing which cot belonged which child. Note: This was corrected when the nap chart was made.
