The operations first aid kit did not contain the following required items: tweezers and a guide to first aid and emergency care.

Based upon the information obtained during the investigation, it was determined the facility failed to timely report a child's injury requiring medical attention. A child sustained an injury on 03/03/2021 while in care. On 03/05/2021, the facility was informed the child was at a medical facility waiting to be seen, as a result of the visit, the child was placed in a cast. The child was back in care on 03/08/2021, however, the facility did not observe the child was in a cast until 03/10/2021. The incident was reported to Child Care Regulations on 03/11/2021.

Based upon the information obtained during the investigation, an incident report was not shared with the parent of a child that sustained an injury requiring medical attention within 48 hours when the incident occurred. Note: Corrected on 03/12/2021 when the incident report was signed/dated and a copy was provided to Child Care Regulations via email.
