This standard was evaluated in regards to a report and was determined to be deficient. A caregiver did not use good judgement when they placed a folded shoe cover with attached pipe cleaner straps over the mouth and nose of three children to act as a mask.

Good judgement was not demonstrated when a caregiver used a bottle warmer accessible to children in care. The bottle warmer was located on top of a mini fridge sitting on the floor. As a result of the bottle warmer being accessible, a child received an injury while in care.
