The standard was also evaluated and is part of the investigation. As a result of the DFPS investigation it was determine that a water dispenser having a hot water valve was placed in a location inside the operation that was accessible to children in care. As a result of the location a child in care received burns on her body from the hot water.
One caregiver was observed caring for 13 children ranging in age from 11 months to 23 months. The children were napping and the room was over ratio by 7. Another caregiver was placed in the room during the inspection.
