At the time of the inspection a caregiver left the room while children were sleeping without notifying the person in charge that they needed to step out. The room was within a distance and open that auditory awareness was able to be maintained.

At the time of the inspection a 6 month old child was present in the lunch room being supervised by caregivers who were supervising a group of children ages 2 years to 8 years of age. The 6 month old child was picked up before the inspector left the operation.
Based on information obtained through investigation it was found the operation became aware of an allegation of inappropriate discipline by a caregiver and did not make a report to Childcare Regulation.
There were several play items on the playground that did not have surfacing. The play items included: slides, a jungle gym, and a trampoline. The play items were resting on grassy area. Photos were taken.
Children were seen jumping on a trampoline on the playground. The trampoline measured over 4'10'' in diameter.
Use zones were evaluated on the outdoor playground. There were 4 stationary play items (jungle gym, trampoline, and 2 slides) that had a use zone that measured less than 6 feet from the building or fence. Photos were taken.
Two employees did not have verification of TB tests.
One child's file did not have verification of immunzations.
The playgound only had one exit gate.
The center did not have verification of a health inspection.
The light fixture cover in the Orange Room needs to be replaced. Doors to the restrooms were leaning on the walls and need to be installed. A mirror in the restroom needs to be installed. Photographs were taken of the deficiencies.
The written operational policies did not address promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity that is consistent with the Minimum Standards.
