The operation stated they have had contracted work being conducted since August 18th, 2023. The director failed to operate in compliance minimum standards, and during the course of the investigation, it was found that the rooms were not well ventilated after being painted, infants were placed in the cafeteria with children older than 18 months and no amendment was requested to licensing, the director also did not notify the operation that their playground had been finished for inspection and review, and the director chose to end a safety plan without discussing it with Licensing during the course of the investigation.

Based on the information obtained during the course of the investigation, the operation used poor judgment when they allowed children and staff to be placed in classrooms after being painted. As a result, staff became ill and it is believed that some of the infants became ill while being in care as well. After there had been complaints of the smell the infant children were moved for one day and then placed back into their classrooms.
