This standard was evaluated during the investigation and found out of compliance. A child was left unattended on the playground. This was corrected at the time of the inspection when all caregivers were observed supervising in compliance with minimum standards. The director stated the caregiver was terminated. The director stated that retraining in supervision would be provided during the next staff meeting.

This was corrected at the time of inspection when the caregiver was observed disciplining in compliance with minimum standards. The assistant director stated the caregiver will be re-trained on discipline and classroom management. The caregiver was also formally counseled regarding appropriate tone of voice and discipline.

Information obtained during the investigation shows that two caregivers did not use good judgment when they were observed speaking degradingly to infants, patting their backs roughly, pulling them up by one arm, using profane language in their presence, and placing them to sleep on their stomachs.
