Luv N Care Child Development Center

During an investigation it was discovered that an office employee took a child up to the second level while in care. There is no written approval that care of children is allowed on the second level.

During a DFPS investigation, it was determined that the operation failed to report concerns expressed by a parent that require investigation to Child Care Regulation as required.

There were two trash cans that were observed to have no lids on them, that had soiled/dirty diapers thrown in them. Note: This was corrected at inspection where there were lids that were placed on both trash cans.

After a child was diaper changed the child was observed to be placed back in their chair without getting their hands washed. Note: After the caregiver was reminded to wash the child's hands, the caregiver quickly went to the child and took them to go get their hand's washed.

There was an infant feeding schedule that had not been updated since 8/18/2022. Note: This was corrected at inspection when the mother of the child completed and updated the form.

It was determined that the caregiver in the classroom was yelling at the children.

It was determined that a caregiver forcibly shoved a child's neck down to show the child the food that fell on the floor. Additionally, it was also determined that the same caregiver had force fed a child.

It was determined that a caregiver forcibly corrected the way a child was sitting in their chair.

During the course of an investigation conducted by DFPS, It was determined that a caregiver physically abused a child in care by forcing their head down to look at a cupcake that the child had dropped on the floor.
