One caregiver in the infant classroom was not aware of the ages of the infants in which they were responsible for. A total of 2 infants were present in the classroom.
On 11/09/2022 children were observed having ramen noodles, corn, and cantaloupe for lunch. The food menu for Wednesday was documented to serve turkey grilled cheese, corns, and fresh fruit. There were not substitutions documented on the food menu.
Infant sheets observed in two cribs were loose and contained food stains. Extra padding was observed underneath infant sheets, which was the incorrect size. Infant sheets that were dirty were removed and replaced while present.
Two children were observed in the infant classroom. One child was 3 years of age, and the other child was an infant, 8 months of age.
One out of five children records observed did not include a start/admission date. The Director retrieved the start date from the computer system.
The operation has not obtained the required annual sanitation inspection. The previous operation contained a health report dated 11/12/2020. The operation will serve meals, and is required to have an updated sanitation inspection.
The operational policies observed did not contain the type of physical activities that the operation will provide to children enrolled/present. The operation did not address alternate physical activities in case of bad weather conditions.
Five out of five children files did not contain the address for the emergency contact listed.
The operational policies did not contain information pertaining to applying cream to children in care. The operational policies did not discuss requirements pertaining to diaper cream, insect repellant, and/or sunscreen.
The fire inspection had not been completed for the new operation. The previous operation obtained a fire inspection on 3/17/2021. The operation has made changes to the infant classroom, which calls for a current fire inspection.
One caregiver observed within the Pre-K age group did not have a current CPR/First-aid certification. The caregiver was observed with 8 children, 3-4 years of age.
