During the inspection the registered home caregiver was providing care for 9 children between the ages of 20 months and 3 years old. The registrant is only permitted to provide care for 6 children before after-school hours.

The fire extinguisher located in the home is classified as a 1-A;10-B;C. The operation should have a 3A-40BC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguisher or an extinguisher that has been approved by the state or local fire marshal.

The number(s) for law enforcement, fire and/or medical (911), poison control, abuse and neglect hot line and licensing were not listed nor were they posted in a prominent location viewable by parents and the public.

Two children in care at the time of inspection did not have immunizations on file. This was corrected during inspection when the director obtained the current immunizations from the parent.

Two children in care at the time of the inspection did not have date of admission on file at the home.

The home does not have an operational policy on vaccine preventable diseases.

At the time of the inspection the license was not posted at the operation in a prominent location viewable by the public.

The operation does not have a discipline and guidance policy.

The Keeping Children Safe document was not posted at the operation.

The operation does not have a written operational policy for the promotion of indoor and outdoor physical activity.

There was no documentation of the fire drill, severe weather/sheltering drill, and/or carbon monoxide detector testing.

Two individual's were observed in the home did not have an active background check. Based on the information obtained, one individual has been employed since 06/2023. The other individual present introduced themselves as a tutor. Background checks were submitted while Licensing was present.

There were no training hours available for review for the primary caregiver.

The operational policies do not contain policies on the promotion of active play and health checks in the facility.
