Based on the information obtained, 3 children confirmed a child being disciplined/spanked in care. One parent confirmed that they were aware of a child being inappropriately disciplined in care by their guardian. Another parent acknowledged hearing about the allegations.
Based on the information obtained throughout the investigation, I was informed that children cross/climb across the gated outside area to obtain supplies. Once children cross the gated area staff are not able to observe them, which brings about supervision concerns.
A broken bar rail was observed hanging from the fence. The top of the fence has ridged, wired edges that may cause harm to children in care.
