It was observed during inspection that 21 school age children were out of control inside their classroom. The caregivers attempted to address the children multiple times, but were not able to control the behaviors.
Television sitting on top of table in gym was not anschored.
A child was injured in care at the operation due to the caregiver not being aware of the child in the classroom.
The hinges on a low cabinet door in the toddler room are broken. The cabinet door is attached to an adjacent door by a safety latch but does not prevent access to cleaning supplies. The cabinet door is also posing a safety hazard as it is capable of causing injury to a child's finger/hand. Note: the cleaning products were made inaccessible to children at inspection.
An infant was observed napping in a crib with a pacifier strap attached to the child's clothing. Note: the caregiver was prompted to remove the pacifier strap from the pacifier while the child was in the crib.
Nap mats of preschool aged children did not allow walking room between the equipment. Note: the director reiterated nap mat placement with staff.
There were three children under the age of two that were allowed to have screen time upon opening the center.
