The operation's first aid kit did not have a guide to first aid. This was corrected during the inspection when a first aid guide was printed out and placed in the first aid kit.

Two of the classrooms had cleaning supplies stored in cabinets within reach of children and the child locks on the cabinets had broken. This was corrected during the inspection when the child locks were replaced so that the cabinets were locked.

A caregiver was not able to properly supervise children in care when the caregiver was taking children to the bathroom while other children were in the classroom which caused a lack of supervision and an incident occurred in the classroom without the caregivers knowledge.

During a review of the record keeping subchapter, it was determined that a fire drill had not been conducted for the previous month. The carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were not tested for the previous month and the fire extinguishers were not checked for the previous month. A fire drill was conducted during the inspection, the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and the fire extinguishers were checked, bringing the facility into compliance.

After evaluating background check rules, it was determined that three caregivers did not have a cleared background check. All three caregivers were observed caring for children. All three caregivers were immediately removed from the operation during the inspection, bringing the facility into compliance.
