There was 1 classroom that was out of ratio. The classroom had 7 children with one caregiver in the room, while the other caregiver was throwing the trash away. The other caregiver came back into the classroom to bring the deficiency into compliance.
It was determined the operation did not notify Child Care Regulation within 48 hours as required. The incident occurred on 3/29/23 and Child Care Regulation was not notified until 4/11/23.
It was determined during the interviews that a caregiver inappropriately disciplined a child by popping the child on the bottom, swatting at his hand and yanking the child off the table.
