A 2 year old was observed tied to a chair using a velcro strap. One caregiver stated child did it themselves. Another caregiver stated they did it to keep the child from running around the room
A 7 mo infant was observed sleeping in a baby bouncer. NOTE:The caregiver was not aware until informed by Licensing. The child remaining in the bouncer sleeping for an additional 5 minutes before the caregiver removed the child.
2 caregivers were not aware of the ages of the children in their care. One caregiver in charge of children 7-15 months stated they believed the youngest should be between 3-6 months and the oldest was between 12-18 months. Another caregiver was observed asking a child how old they were to verify the age. The youngest was 22months. The caregiver stated they didn't know because the child had only been in care for one day.
A 22 month old was observed in a high chair. The child was observed to be in the high chair for approx 25 minutes. According to the owner, the child was placed in the high chair to keep them from running around the room.
Screen time activites were observed to be used with a group of children 7-15 months old.
A careigver did not wash their hands after assisting a child with potty training, The careigver did not have a child was their hands after the child threw up and then hovered over a garbage can for several minutes.
Upon arrival, 2 infants were observed to be in high chairs. After 25 minutes, the children were still observed in high chairs.
The director was observed telling a child who was running to sit down or Licensing was going to take them away. NOTE: According to the director, similar methods are used on the child to get them to behave beucase they "play rough"
Based on the investigation conducted by DFPS, a child was injured and child received medical attention but licensing was not informed.
A 14 month old was observed asleep in a bouncer. Note: The Director immediately moved the child to a cot to sleep when addressed to do so.
Fire drills are not being conducted monthly. Documentation shows the last drill conducted in November 2021.
